Making it Digital 1st Forum - Friday 25 April

Exclusively for Making it Digital participants to introduce themselves, present their project plans to the group, and get feedback and advice from the pool of specialists.
1.30-4.30pm
Open to members of Hidden Art Cornwall and London Level 2 members who are signed up for Innovative Routes to Market. The session will include talks by members of the pool of specialists focusing on innovative uses of digital technologies, and the product development process from design idea through to production. The forum will also look at case studies of designer-makers who have taken part in similar projects.
Making it Digital 2nd Forum - Monday 27 October
Venue: Kenwyn Lecture Theatre, Truro College, College Road, Truro, TR1 3XX

The second forum will focus on getting a finished product into the marketplace. It will be open to all members and will focus on approaching manufacturers and getting your product into production, developing marketing strategies and protecting your designs. The forum will be followed by drinks.
Confirmed speakers include:
Senior buyer and consultant Sasha Bruce from
Buyerlogical, discussing working with manufacturers and how to find the right markets/outlets for your product.
Intellectual Property lawyer Nisha Baveja from
Briffa, covering the various intellectual property rights and ways to expand your business through licensing your IP.
Anna Hart from
Mark, on what was involved in establishing this new furniture and lifestyle brand from Cornwall, working with designers and local manufacturers to get a range of products to market.
Designer Matthew Dabbs from
Lime Studio, talking about working collaboratively and their process from an idea to successfully approaching manufacturers and getting their work into production.
Designer-maker Nick Langan from
Journeyman Furniture, on his experience of the Making it Digital project.
